![]() They have dozens of beers on top, including the Alchemist's Heady Topper! I ordered a Lawson's Permagrin Rye beer and tried out the "House Quarter Pounder". More space at the bar, brick and wood enhancements, and a rear wall tap system including inverted glass washers. Last night i stopped in and was pleased to see they gutted the place and made small (learned) improvements when they rebuilt. Rumors flew and finally this spring, the owners leased the space to a new group. When the flood rolled through last year, the brewery/restaurant/bar was devastated. My wife and i were huge fans of Waterbury's Alchemist. If you are an Alchemist fan, try it for yourself other entrees maybe better. We will keep an eye on other reviews maybe things will improve with time. Neither the chicken or pork was listed as local and/or organic, if it was, that may explain the price of those entrees. My husband had the chopped barbecued pork which was also tasteless and had no sauce or liquid to keep it together, it kept falling of the roll. I had a smoked barbeques chicken sandwich which was tiny and tasteless. The portions were small, the prices were high and the quality was not there. Unfortunately we were terribly disappointed with the food. The service was excellent and if you are a beer aficionado you will be in heaven with all their choices. ![]() It was nice to see the employees from the Alchemist had returned to work at Prohibition Pig, they are all wonderful. Prohibition Pig moved in the space previously occupied by the Alchemist, as other reviews have noted, they had big shoes to fill. ![]()
