![]() Well I found out you have to go into Prisoner setting and enable them to even be able to do the work, then give them the priority in the work tab. When possible, cannibals and animals will get human meat. NPD will select the best ingredients according to the eater. You can use the NPD from a prisoner’s room to feed injured prisoners. Visitors will use the NPD instead of picking the food from hoppers. (Even if you do the thing in the default / un-modded game, where you pause a lot and get a pawn to drop their meals right at their feet, effectively 'crafting' paste with the default nutrient paste dispenser. Nutrient Paste Dispenser Force the dispenser to output meals. The only difference from the previous placement is it wasn't prisoner use, I had it as backup in case the colony ran out of food. For some reason a few of my prisoners cant do 'Basic' job duties. However, during normal gameplay pawns will always eat their paste before it spoils, so I don't really consider it cheating. Game is heavily modded, though I had it originally placed elsewhere and it was working just fine. A prison must be desiginated in a fully enclosed room, closed off with walls and other impassable objects like doors, coolers and nutrient paste dispensers. Meanwhile, overyone else on a no-package policy at home wont be having any meal in their inventory - a good thing since they'll not ever eat without table, but a bad thing because they no longer have emergency meal and also waste a lot of time to get food from dispenser. Nutrient Paste Dispenser Needs Food Hopper. I can of course, disable survival meal from policy too, however, that'd mean manually figuring out who to go on caravan, then switch them to a separate food policy which covers package meal. This will alleviate the need for your wardens to bring them food, too. Hadnt realized this before, but by using the nutrient paste dispenser as a wall, you can have prisoners get their own food from it. one tradeoff is that your food supply breaks, if you loose power. They would have to apply something really short - possibly too short to carry it to a table. ![]() As it is not supposed to land in storage, that is no issue. ![]() What it leads to is that if i play a transhumanist base, with only nutrient paste + survival meal, the pawn will go to take the survival meal, which i want to keep in reserve for caravanning. Because nutrient paste is created 'on demand' and not normally stockpiled the easiest way is to give the prisoners access to a dispenser by building one in your prison. Nutrient paste currently has no spoil time. Pawns currently dont go to dispenser to get nutrient paste for their inventory Tldr: pawns should get nutrient paste from dispenser for their inventory, not just for when they want to eat ![]()
